埃爾溫．隆美爾(1891年11月15日至1944年10月14日)，是第二次世界大戰期間一位戰功卓著的德國陸軍將領。
Erwin Rommel (15 November 1891-14 October 1944), is a German field marshal who earned huge battle achievements during the Second World War.

第一次世界大戰爆發後，隆美爾以少尉的身份先後在馬塔傑爾山及朗格路尼戰役，分別俘虜九千及八千名義大利士兵，他的戰功因而開始受到注視。1930年代希特勒上台後，隆美爾忠誠地追隨他，而希特勒對隆美爾的信任亦與日俱增。
After the outbreak of First World War, Rommel captured 9000 and 8000 Italian soldiers in the wars in Matajur and Langosteira respectively. His battle achievements were thus started to be recognized by others. After the rise of power of Hitler in the 1930s, Rommel followed him loyally. The trust of Hitler towards Rommel increased gradually.

1940年，隆美爾成為陸軍第7裝甲師師長，並領導在法國戰役中虜獲大量敵軍及其物資，令該師獲得「幽靈師」的美譽。西線戰役後，隆美爾帶領少量德、義軍隊攻擊英軍，成功為義大利奪回早前失去的殖民地。其後，他又率領少數德軍在「戰斧行動」中擊退英軍，並在加查拉戰役中以少於盟軍兵力近半的姿態消滅盟軍大量兵力和物資。
In 1940, Rommel became the commander of the 7th Panzer Division and led the whole armored division to capture enormous number of soldiers and resources in the wars against France. Such success granted him the good reputation of ‘Gespensterdivision (Ghost Division)’. After the war in the Eastern front, Rommel led limited amount of German and Italian troops to attack the British army and successfully seized the lost colonies of Italy. Later, he led small amount of German army and defeated the British in ‘Operation Battleaxe’. Moreover, in the Battle of Gazala, he defeated the Allied and destroyed their military supplies with less than half of the enemies’ military strength.

可惜，隆美爾在戰爭後期因被指支持暗殺希特勒以推翻納粹政權，因此他選擇在1944年10月14日服用氰化物自殺，短匆一生就此告終！
Regretfully, Rommel was claimed to be supporting the assassination of Hitler and overthrowing the Nazi regime in the later stage of war. Hence, he committed suicide on 14 October 1944 by taking cyanide. His short life was thus ended.
